Linda is a small town Iowan who wants to share her story. Her twin brother, Larry, has dementia. As his caregiver, she takes pride in helping her brother, but it is not without its challenges. She washes his laundry, gets his groceries, and drives him to doctors in Iowa City and Des Moines. That’s why she is so thankful President Biden’s Rescue Plan dollars went straight to working families like hers.
With wealthy corporations price gouging the cost of groceries and gas these days, the extra funds were a real relief. With everything going on, Linda wanted to share her story and spread the word that Iowa families appreciated these funds that helped us stay afloat.
